Question- I bought some ground beef Friday and was going to make burgers later. Just noticed a half inch tear in the plastic on top of the meat
Around the tear the meat is dark but the other 98% looks fine
Can I just toss out the area around the spot or throw it all away?

Cook it well done and you are safe.
If meat is bad you won't eat enough to get you sick. The taste will be too noticeable.
