I’ve got to cook a large gumbo for the first time on Friday. What’s the best place to get large quantities of vegetables chopped?
15 lbs of onions for example
Eta: around Baton Rouge/river parishes

Perhaps you can find frozen pre-chopped vegetables but you won't find them in 15lb quantities.

Try Southside Produce or Capital City Produce.

You can call Rouses and order bags of chopped veggies. We did this when we made a pastalaya to feed like 200 for a customer event.
Just showed up and veggies were nicely packed in bags and ready to go.

Capital City Produce off of O'Neal Lane.
It will be fresh too - never frozen.

fresh pickins on Coursey has freezers full of anything you may need. I think it comes in 3 pound bags. But they have plenty.
