Depends if they're in the sack or loose. I'm not sure an actual sack would fit in a 48qt without dumping it. 70qt to be safe

I use one of these and it holds a 43lb sack lose.
Gotta keep an eye for jumpers though...

48 quart ice chest won't make it for a 30 plus pound sack, especially if you need to keep them on ice.
Use a 70 qt and you will have room for a bag of ice or a frozen gallon jug of water.

Does the handle on yours flop down and close the drain hole? My was engineered perfectly where when you are trying to drain, the handle will flop down and close the drain.

Yup. Sure does. How the hell does that product get out of the design phase with a flaw like that???
I cut the cap off mine b/c I only use it out doors and never take it anywhere. I have two others WITH drain caps but no wheels for going places.
I know, defeats the purpose of the wheels but I didn't know about the handle BS before I bought it.
