It's too bad south of philly on Sherwood closed. Ricky made a nice basket of fries.
Fries from macdonalds are treated with a chemical (dimethylpolysiloxane) to keep the fryer "oil"(and I use that term loosely) from bubbling up too much. This chemical is proven to grow hair on lab rodents.
Mmmmm.
Proper fries are cooked low and slow first time, then hot and quick the second time. Twice cooked fries get soggy on the second cook when the oil temp drops too much after the fries are dropped in.
