Near Aria is helpful, but other areas not totally out of the question.

Go. (TIA)

Saw that mentioned when I searched. I think the husband and I sat in one of his restaurants, but husband just told me it was in the Mirage.

What about lunch?

everything is good in Vegas. Probably the highest concentration of great places to eat in America, even more so than nyc

May have been one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. I really can't oversell how disappointed I was in that place. Which sucks, because his restaurant Craft in New York is awesome.

Just...no. No doubt there are plenty of great places to eat, but there's an equal if not larger amount of mediocre food that's wrapped in a shiny Vegas wrapper, given a random celebrity chef's name on the menu, priced at 3x it's worth, and passed off as fine dining. To compare Vegas' dining scene to NYC is just crazy.

To answer the OP's question, check out Sage. It's actually in Aria and it's a really great spot. Beautiful atmosphere and the tasting menu (about $130/person if I remember right) is insanely tasty.

We're having dinner at Bardot in Aria. And will probably hit up Javier's. We at lunch at Todd English's PUB today.

Thanks for the rec for Juan's Flaming Fajitas. Will look that up.

I was going to say that on the cheap, I like Todd English pub at crystals and secret pizza at cosmo, but wasn’t going to ask first what kind of food you like... just saw you went to Todd English. Hope youve enjoyed yourselves!

it's a completely different type of dining scene. my point was that there are good places to eat within 100 yards no matter where you are on the strip. within a 4 mile or so stretch on Las Vegas blvd, there'a at least 100 great options. of course New York has better restaurants, but what Vegas packs into that 4 mile stretch is unbeatable. ETA- I'm not talking about Michelin rated ultra fine dining, like you find in NY.

Vegas does have the best collection of steakhouses in the world.

this is like the 10th thread where Craft Steak was brought up, and it will be the 10th thread where I agree with you. I've never been so disappointed in my life. try Prime (Bellagio) or Strip Steak (don't ask) instead.

The pub was anything but "on the cheap". Lunch was $70 for two. Each one drink and lunch.

Went to Nine Fine Irishmen last night and got apps and drinks for three and it was only $100.

Had Bardot tonight and it was good. Ending the night at the Mandarian Bar on the 23rd floor. The view does not suck!

What is great about Vegas is that I can come every year and never run out of new places to try. The selection is incredible even if restaurants on the strip are stupidly priced.

True—I’ve adapted. I find it very cheap to live here but my “cheap” radar for food/entertainment is now severely screwed up when it comes to the strip. I’m glad to pay $10 for a beer compared to $20 at some events/places :)

Hope you’ve had a good time while here though!! My fave recommendation for (quirky) folks is the pinball hall of fame. It’s on Tropicana East of the strip maybe 2 or 3 lights east of the airport connection. Good way to kill time before a flight and all the money goes to charity (after covering operational costs). Great if dropping quarters into a machine and actually playing a game is your thing as opposed to slots :) it’s the largest collection of publicly accessible pinball machines in the US.

I like Five50 for lunch (I love their pretzel knots and Vegas Root Beer Float w/Southern Comfort) and and Javier's for dinner. Both are at Aria.
