I can't believe I spent an hour of my morning debating the intricacies of whether a mixed drink is assumed to mean always on the rocks or not

On most POS systems for server to bar:

Liquor: Crown
Mixer: Coke
Prep: Rocks

I read countless tickets just like that for years. In my head, crown n coke on the rocks is what I heard every time service bar spit one out.

Ham saying he can make much better cheese fries than walkons is over the top?

No...it was after I made an innocuous comment about enjoying the cheese fries...he decided to chime in, puff up his chest, and pull the "you obviously don't know who I am" card as if creating cheese fries at home is some accomplishment to behold.

Then again, if he needs to seek affirmation from the FaDB with regard to his cooking...he has bigger problems to deal with than whether or not he can waffle-cut potatoes and melt cheese better than a restaurant.
