I couldn't agree more. Although I think there is much more competition now, at least in NOLA, than there was years ago so maybe I've just refined my palate.
I recall a few years ago that the Voodoo on St. Charles was among the restaurants NOLA.com published as having the most health code violations. Was one of the few non-Asian restaurants that made the list.
