As many of you know Pho Quynh has changed ownership and has reopened as Viet Garden. I went yesterday for lunch and was very impressed. As I only had a "small" bowl of pho I can't comment too much on the menu, but anyway...

I ordered my usual which consists or everything but meatballs and it was great. The broth was as clear as I have had, and while it wasn't very dark, it was rich and clean. Lots of tendon, tripe, flank and brisket.

Other positive notes:

1. Extremely friendly service.

2. Pho came out in about three minutes.

3. They refilled my iced tea without me even having to ask! (While this might not seem like a big deal, those of you that have frequented the Viet places in BR should understand my delight).

4. The two big screen tvs were on and tuned to ESPN, not a recording of a Vietnamese variety show.

5. The place is by far the cleanest in town, although I can't speak for Dream Berrie as I've never been there.

There were only about 20 people in there so I'm not sure how they will handle a rush, but the waiters were on their toes. This will be my go to from now on.

The Vietnamese restaurants and markets are the only reason I head out there.

I went to Pho Quynh a few years ago and it was pretty danged good. (Probably the original owner) Looking forward to try the new iteration

Cheers!

Tried this new restaurant twice which is under new owner. I will give this restaurant 2 thumbs up rating due to the more upscale food preparation and decor.I have tried a lot of Vietnamese restaurants in town, and to me, this tops them all. Their fried shrimp cake is a must try; had their duck egg noodle soup which is one of the best egg noodle I've ever had; up to the standards in Asia! Combination meat fried noodle is also very tasty. The fried quail is well marinated and tender. You won't be disappoint with the quality of the food. I am glad a Vietnamese friend of mine introduced this place to me.

Do they serve banh mi? I've been broken-hearted ever since Little Saigon shut down.

Supposed to be reopened next month on the other side of Fla Blvd.

I never could figure out the menu at Pho Quynh.

Thank for the review.

This restaurant is new and different from Pho Quynh.

I had asked the owner for recommendations as I also can't always figure out some of the dishes.

There's an appetizer with "marinated lotus root". It actually is a cold salad with different veggies, including coriander, plus pork and shrimp. Tried it yesterday: quite good and refreshing. It is something I would order again!
