re: Tamale Recipe Please

I didn't say where I grew up, but I grew up in Metairie near Transcontinental and Kawanee. We used to get the hot tamales mostly from the van that parked in front of Lakeside on Veterans. Sometimes we'd get them through a literal hole-in-the-wall at a place in the bend of Jefferson Highway past Ochsner.

As for high school, I'm proud to say I'm a 1976 graduate of 2013 State 4A Football Champions East Jefferson Warriors. (It's not lame to say it this way - it's the first championship in the school's 56 year history.)
