I went to this place this afternoon. It was pretty busy, probably about 9-10 people inside. Everybody was speaking Spanish. I ask the guy if he had a menu and he said no, but there was a menu up above on the wall.

It really isnt a menu. It just says tacos 1.99 with picture of tacos. And plates 7.99 with a picture of a plate. It doesnt say anything about what they have or any other prices. So i said frick it and i left.

Has anybody eaten there? What do you order?
I guess ill go back when they decide to make a detailed menu.

Eta: i knew i would get bashed for this thread, but the point is to find out what people have eaten there so i can get some ideas of what to order.

I actually just ate there for lunch this afternoon. Got 3 tacos (corn tortillas), 2 of them with steak and the other with shredded chicken. Wanted to get one with brisket, but they were out. What I had was very good, and there was a bar with lettuce, pico, cilantro, onions, peppers and a variety of sauces for the tacos.

You just order the tacos with the meat you want (listed below the $1.99 sign). Or get a burrito or quesadilla, again with whatever meat you want. Think they had tamales as well.

I'll go back, for sure.

I didnt want tacos. I wanted to look at everything they have without having to ask about every little thing. The spanish is not even a problem. How hard is it to make a fricking menu?

Get outside the cushy environs of Lakeview and learn about the real world. There are so many mom and pops that do quite well with serving their food as they have for decades and a black board is all you get.

It's a taqueria...it serves tacos. Says so right in the name. If you want something else, go to a different restaurant. Do you walk into a poboy shop with a signboard menu and whine because there is no paper menu?

Look to the left where you name is and tell me what is there. No wonder you have problems with unfamiliar styles of menus. Some of the best meals that will grace your taste buds look like dumps rom the exteriors appearances.

Iv been to plenty of dumps all over the world. Making it easy for the customer to order should be a priority.

For example what if i wanted a plate lunch? They just had a picture of a plate that said 7.99.
What kind of plate lunches do they have? Nobody knows. I guess i need to ask them to explain every type of plate lunch they have. They didnt even have prices for burritos, tamales etc.

I went there the other day so i sort of know what you mean but all you have to do is ask the guy. You come off as petty by leaving and posting on here.

I posted because i wanted to find out what people ordered. I didnt feel like going through the whole menu with the guy. Why is that petty?

Besides, i usually like to know what im going to order before i even go to a place like that. A to-go menu would be great.

What? It was my first time there, and I saw everything on the menu that you said was missing.

Plate lunch was $7.99. Came with choice of meat, beans, rice and a salad. It was clear as day right underneath.

Burritos were $5.99. Quesadillas, I can't remember the price, but it was there. Ditto for Tortas and Tamales.

Yes, everything was listed in English, followed by Spanish. But it was all there. And the guy taking my order was very helpful. Again, I'll be back since it's so close to my office.

I have been multiple times, the prices of burritos and tamales are literally right next to the word.... Or at least it was when I went. Unless they changed $5.99 for a burrito and $1.99 for a tamale (both used to be a dollar less )

Get whatever you want, burrito, tamale, taco, quesadilla, etc. but the meat there I'd say the Fajita beef is the best, then the carnitas, brisket, then chicken. None of its really bad though. Don't get a torta unless you want to be eating what basically turns into a pile of mexican stuff when it all comes apart. Just get some tacos or quesadillas with some of the stuff from their salad bar looking thing. The pico de gallo there is probably the best I've ever had

Yeah, I don't know why you didn't just wait and ask the people. They communicate to each other in spanish and with the hispanics in spanish, but both the guy and girl that take your order speak perfect english
