Went to TacoChop with a couple of friends yesterday for lunch. Very good.
House made tortillas (flour and Corn), chips, and salsa.
The taco's were huge and pretty inexpensive at 3.75 each.
We got the following:
Steak - meat was tender and had a pico/pepper medley and cheese accompany (very good)
Pulled Pork - smoked pork topped with slaw and a spicy BBQ sauce. (good, i'm not a fan of drier slaw though)
Pork chop - grilled then chopped up pork, it was delicious.
Buffalo Shrimp - Included mildly seasoned shrimp with a lot of shredded cheese and a little blue cheese in the middle. (fair... wouldn't get again though)
The salsa was thick, well blended and seasoned, and no cooked or grilled taste like some. I really enjoyed it.
Final thought - definitely would go back. The owner is very attentive and friendly. I wouldnt call this an authentic mexican place, but its definitely not texmex. Maybe there is something in between.

I used to go there a ton. I switched to La Tienda/ Taqueria on Siegen. I think it's better and they have many more items on the menu. Their pork tamales are insanely good.

Oh I agree that La Tienda is better for authentic mexican. This really isnt that.
I'm still sad about La Reyna. Their baledas was the best!

Went there about two weeks ago and it appeared that there are new owners. The menu has changed (less items) and the prices are 50% higher. Salsa wasn't quite the same either.

Taco Chops plain sucks. It's just that simple.
