Great beers on tap, and trow your shells into a can at the center of the table. Maybe some live music on the weekends, and a real casual atmosphere. BR likes casual, and being right off the Interstate, (BR Main Street) I think it would kill business. Keep the seafood market separate from the dining facility, and keep it fun.
Jeesh. What colors would you like the drapes?
I can find several casual places in the BR area to get good boiled seafood any night of the week. If you choose to be a stick in the mud, that's your choice.
ETA: I'll add Heads N Tails on Perkins/Essen. They do good seafood in the casual environment you desire as well.

This is what I thought LA Seafood on Perkins was going to be. Instead they built an enourmous seafood store with very little seafood and outside seating for occasional boils. very disappointed with that place. They have to be shelling out money for that waste of space.
Yeah, that was a disappointment, and kind of my thing I don't care for. Just like the others around town, it's like eating in a seafood market. It lacks any appeal, isnt a fun place to hang out, and is a distraction to people eating. Then there's the other side of the coin in eating in a restaurant where most people are eating entrees, and you're eating some messy boiled seafood. It's not a real comfortable setting for it IMO.

I gots ta walk away from this one.
ETA: Walk in to Sammy's any night of the week. > 50% of the customers are eating boiled seafood during crawfish season. When crabs are running, a lot of the tables are eating crabs. I guess they need a live band and vintage license plates on the wall to put you in your comfort zone.

No, just LSU memorabilia.
Oh, and some people with khaki pants or shorts and polo shirts. Throw in an LSU hat, and I think I can eat there.
