Imbedded some sweet corn in my field corn under irrigation. Looking really good but I don't think it is going to be ready by the 4th of July.
Atrazine and Laudis are the ticket. Planted on 38" rows with a skip. That skip row really helps out with the width of some of these women who are pulling corn around here.

Planted on April 14.

I'm installing furrow irrigation at the moment. Not cheap.

And I can't find any good sweet corn in BR the last week.

Some of these new triple sweet varieties are hard to beat.

I've been eating sweet corn nearly every day for weeks. So darn good.

I hope to plant some remedy next year. I'm tired of losing the battle to the corn ear worms. I gotta cut off 1.5 inch off 90% of my ears because those bastards.

Picked 80 ears of silver queen and another 80-100 of g-90

Should have another 100+ this coming weekend g-90, merit, silver queen.

I've been buying it like crazy. We have a farmer up here that has the best corn I've ever had in my life.

Agreed. I haven't been able to find any, either. Not all corn is good.

I bought some on Thursday from a pretty reliable place, it was awful. Not full, half eaten, and not too sweet. I cut it all off the cob and froze, Ill use in a soup or something later. But it wasnt worth eating
