Sunday Booze in West Monroe Now Legal

I grew up in West Monroe in the 60's-70's.....my grandparents owned a store about 5 miles past the paper mill on 34.
They sold beer on Sundays....
My Dad took a week off from work to run the store for them so they could go on a well earned vacation. He got popped by the Sheriff's office for Sunday beer sales. The deputy knew him well.....he was the Service Manager at Cooper GMC...and told him to get the store closed in the next 2 hours, and meet him at the courthouse so he could arrest him.
My Dad served a week at the Pea Farm for that lil stunt....
