Summer Road Trip - Beer & Food recs

Im road tripping this summer from NYC to Denver via SD. I plan to head west until Chicago then north through Madison and Lacrosse to Rapid City then down through Cheyenne.
Any cant miss food and drink spots off the beaten path? Is 3 Floyds worth a stop to grab a bottle?
