Thought about buying one of their skillets recently but read some mixed reviews on the finish and the durability of the coating. Saw they just released another model today actually.

Not sure what you mean by this. It is cast iron and needs to be seasoned like all cast iron. The do season it some from the factory, but tell you that it will need more seasoning. It shows up a copper color but darkens to the traditional cast iron look as it seasons.

To the OP - I have the 12" and 8" and cook with them both multiple times a week. The smoothness of the skillets is incredible. I highly recommend them. The 8" is perfect for frying eggs in, and sauteing veggies and the 12" cooks everything - etouffees, steaks, fish, browns big hunks of meat very well, etc...

I couldn't be happier with them. Great products that will undoubtedly outlive me and my kids.

Thanks for the info.

Think I’m about to get the same two. I saw they just came out with a farm skillet as well.
