Yep. To me shrimp and tomatoes just don't mix.

Just in cajun food, or period? Because there is an entire world of shrimp & tomatoes. To wit:
--veracruz style shrimp cocktail/Mexico
--ketchup on fried shrimp or a shrimp poboy/LA
--paella de mariscos (shrimp paella)/Spain
--smothered shrimp & okra (with or without fresh corn)/LA
--shrimp fra diavolo/Italy
--shrimp & grits/southern US
I could go on, Gump-style, into China, India, and Greece. But pretty much anywhere in the world where you find shrimp and tomatoes, people use them together in delicious dishes.

She was Cajun and made tomato based shrimp stew. That just is not right.

Bet she's from down da bayou and not Lafayette/Acadiana area.
