re: Russian River Brewing

alright so i've opened one of the PTEs. a solid double or imperial IPA and very smooth and medium-bodied, but i don't know. one of the best beers in the world according to beer advocate? that's kind of bold. it reminded me of the odell's mercenary or dogfish head's burton baton or bell's hopslam but less "sinewy," if that makes sense. in fact, i think i prefer the racer 5 IPA to any of the above.

opened the damnation next and really enjoyed the citrusy and floral notes. actually preferred this to the PTE.

dying to open another but i've got a 12 hour workday tomorrow and an out-of-town wife who i promised to share some of the supplications and consecrations with, but i'll report back when i crack those.
