a barrel of eagle rare

When I was in Nashville last year, a large liquor store had their own bottles from personally selected barrels...

Thats what this bottle of four roses cask strength is. It was hand picked by the store and has a special label with their name on it. Will post a pic tomorrow

Between the 2 hand picked regular single barrels they had and the cask strength they probably had 200+ bottles of four roses stacked up in the middle of the store. It was a beautiful thing to see

My favorite bourbon. I've been pimping it on here for years.

Those are often some of the best. Local store here had done something similar with Jefferson Presidential Select 17 year. They got a whole barrel bottled for them unfiltered. Was some great stuff!

How is that Rock Hill Farms compared to the rest?

it's very good but it's one i'll usually only have one glass of. it's a little too spicy for me for an everyday bourbon

That's the way I feel about Eagle Rare... I like a bourbon more along the lines of Woodford Reserve, or Makers 47, for an everyday bourbon...

That bourbon thread really added a number of bottles to the cabinet. Here is a recent photo with a number of new additions...

If you think of eagle rare that way you may not like the rock hill, period. It blows eagle rare out of the water in that aspect

I drink a glass here and there but rarely consume a lot unless I am in a social setting, when consumption is less than supply it is easy to add to the collection...

I had some last week and enjoyed it, though this weekend I had some Elijah Craig and for 25 bucks is the best bourbon I've had for the price.

Very nice collection. I really need to get a cabinet or something. Is that just an old Pie Safe?
