Spy is the only good restaurant I've found in st aug...place is terrible for food options. Ive given up and just get stuff from public and cook at home.

The Floridian
My gf and I went on a whim, and we were really impressed. Check it out-you won't be disappointed.

Columbia is a really good place to eat with a diverse set of options. I enjoy the Floridian as well.
Another gem is Gypsy Cab Company. It's just over the bridge of Lions on the same side as the lighthouse. I've eaten there several times and the food is very good.

For a beach restaurant we drive down to the Oasis. Good for burgers, fish sandwiches and fish tacos; and the laid back atmosphere.
Ate there today, holy crap that was horrendous.
Atmosphere was good, food was terrible.

Typical beach restaurant. Fried seafood, burgers, patti melt, and fried chicken tenders. On or near the beach. Inconsistently prepared, because they know you don't go there for the food. Great place to have a beer and soak up some sun on the patio, but not a place to get great food.
Most beach towns have an overabundance of these types of places. It is what it is - kind of like a sports bar on the beach.
