The Angus Barn is a popular and expensive place. It’s near the airport.
42nd St Oyster Bar & Seafood Grill but it’s close to downtown.

Oh wow, haven't heard that name in a while. Went there like 24 years ago. There was a scale when you walk in (not sure if it's still there), but a buddy weighed in, we ate, he weighed himself again on the way out and gained like 5 pounds in that place..

My sister (no pics) lives near the airport in Raleigh and has always said the "Anus Barn" is actually good steaks.

Tons of options in the area.
As mentioned, the Angus Barn is near the airport and they do a good steak. I'd describe it more as an old fashioned steak house as opposed to fine dining. It's a cool spot though. If you're looking for fine dining, The Umstead is not far from the airport. The restaurant is called Herons. They have a nice bar too and the property is very nice. For BBQ, Clyde Cooper's is an old Eastern Carolina BBQ establishment downtown.
There are tons of other really good options, especially around downtown.
