Hello old friends.

I have backslid very hard. I am a far cry away from my lowest weight of 250. I was sliding slowly for a while, but found my self a lovely lady and the happy weight and holiday weight has piled on. I am recommitting myself again. GF and I are both on board so it will be a team effort.

Starting fresh.

I started prepping my meals, cutting alcohol (this sucks ha) and eating smaller portions throughout the day, and so far its gone well. The first couple of days were rough since I was eating less and not junk, but within the first week I lost right under 5 pounds.

My question is... when it comes to the allocated time slot to eat a small snack or drink a protein shake and I do not feel hungry, should I stick to the scheduled day or just skip that snack since I've read do not eat if you're not hungry?

TIA

Started couch to 5k today. Will be doing rowing machine or racquetball on the off days. I'd personally save those calories for a bigger dinner or something instead of forcing myself to eat.

Total kcal consumed a day is most important. The time in which you consume them or how much at a time isn't as significant

Just curious... Have you considered ding weigh training on your off days?

this part will only make a difference *if* you're lifting and the suggested time frame is within 30 minutes of your workout I think. Otherwise, just listen to your body, if you're not hungry don't force it, imo.

Let's do this.
How tall are you? I'm 6'0
I've changed my goal to 185

246/239/185

I'm on Lose It and counting calories this time.
I've done low carb previously and was able to drop the weight, but if you don't stay on program.
Putting weight back on is as easy as laying on the couch and posting on tigerdroppings

Yeah I just started that yesterday as well. Have an entire set of Dumbbells and a pull up bar in the shed that I'll be using. Can definitely say that I'm already sore right now.

Personally, I find that I lose weight the best if I follow a simple rule: If you're not hungry, don't eat. Your body will tell you when you need sustenance better than a timer.
