Plastic covering pork has a hole in it. Still safe to eat?

Got a four pound butt on Sunday. Just took it out of the fridge and realized the plastic wrap has a hole. I can smell kind of a hot dog smell, but I wouldn't say it smells spoiled. But I'm not sure.
Still safe to cook and eat?

As long as it has been cold it's fine.
