All I can tell you is, the frogs were 6 inches long. I asked my dad, about the frogs. He didn't remember, but I will reserch it. My Grandfather sold the Bakery in 1958.

Just taking a wild stab, but it could have to do with the small loaves being little french breads, and 'Frogs' being a derogatory name for Frenchmen.

I thought about that but a lot of the people in Plaquemine were Cajuns and I don't think that would be it.
