Do u cut just the bark off and leave the top or do u core it out and slice it/ chunk it up?

i slice the top off, then slice in half horizontally and throw the 2 pieces in during soaking. Take them out when the bugs are pulled and slice into chunks, removing the core.

Tomatoes in gumbo is acceptable but don’t get silly with Pineapple in crawfish.

I just buy the pre-cut chunks because it is easy. Put in when soak starts.
