Ate there last night. Got the three meat plate with jalapeño sausage, brisket, and pulled pork. Mac&Cheese as a side. Added a fried rib.
Pulled pork was beautiful. Perfect seasoning and smoke combination. The sauce complemented it perfectly.
Jalapeño sausage was a touch on the dry side, but the flavors were phenomenal.
Brisket had a perfect smoke ring. The precise amount of fat to meat ratio. Smoke flavor was not overpowering.
The fried rib is a smoked rib that is deep fried, then covered with bbq sauce, bleu cheese crumbles, and green onions. That was the best thing on the plate. The meat was tender and smoky, the sauce was tangy and sweet, and the bleu cheese was a nice contrast to the rest. A bit salty at the end, however.
Mac & Cheese was super flavorful, but a bit thick and “paste-like” for my tastes.
Pic to come.

Your description is spot on from my experiences with them. Great place.
I live closer to Lockhart BBQ here in town, so that's who I frequent. I ate there last night and it was money as always.

I love Lockhart and you don’t have to worry about a line.

The beef rib they put out, may be the best piece of BBQ that has ever crossed my lips.

Yea their brisket and the beef rib are about as perfect of a BBQ experience as you can get. Found the sides I’ve tried have been good but forgettable, but then again that’s now why I’m there and that’s not their bread and butter.
