Just an update on some questions about this place.
Food was as good as ever. Wife talked to Mama who she knew from long ago. She was lifted by our praise of the food - she said she has been very tired.
The place is hers. Merlin and Dianna are not involved. There were other family members working there, but I think they're from her 2nd husband's side of the family.

I guess that means Diana will still be opening her own place, focusing more on Thai street fare?

The person behind this restaurant is Mama, formerly of Bangkok on Carrollton, former of LaThai Uptown. She's the person who brought Thai to NOLA. Her food is, by far, the best, but it may take a little while to iron out the kinks of opening pains.

No--not Diana. Diana's mama. Diana has no involvement in this restaurant.
