I was in NOLA last fall and had gumbo and oysters at the bar at Mr. B’s. Both were very good

Mais Arepas is a good lunch option. Have always enjoyed it.

Central City BBQ is nearby if in the mood for BBQ. I prefer Blue Oak, but CC is solid.

These are all casual and are exceptional at what they do:
Casamento’s - raw & fried oysters
Parkway - roast beef po-boy
Pizza Delicious - margherita pizza
Cochon Butcher - red beans for lunch if in on Monday, if not, any sandwich there
Blue Oak - brisket & ribs, don’t forget sichuan cracklins
