Radostas in Old Metry has incrredible giant onion loops. If you want order the Large instead of the small the workers will literally warn you how huge the order is.
Desi Vega's Burgers in Harahan does the shoestring onion rings but they marinate the strings in crystal hot sauce before frying and they are great.
