New Backwoods Smoker Made in TX?

Just got this Fatboy G2 and seasoning it today. I just noticed it is made in Tx. My old G2 Chubby from 2013 made in Dixie, La. Didn’t know they moved. This thing is a beast. The extra insulation should cut down on charcoal use in winter here in OH. Plus my old one is starting to show its age.

It’s solid. It was a bitch to get the casters on. I had to use my car jack while it was on the pallet and spin it to the edge. I think it weighs in at close to 400lb

Looks like they moved
What's the valve on the side used for? Adding water?

So this model has a built in water pan and that is the drain valve. My smaller one has a lift out pan that is a pain sometimes specially with larger cuts and more drippings.
ETA yeah it shipped from Houston, I was just wondering if the company changed hands or moved

Nothing posted on their Facebook since 2019. Maybe he sold and retired.

After some research, looks like Mike Mcgowan the original owner and designer sold the company somewhere around 2023-2024. It’s got biught by a Texas company. Also of note one of the La Backwoods employees started his own line of cabinet smokers called Blue Bayou Smokers.
