What are the nicest hotels in BR?

i stayed at the double tree last summer. it was a nice hotel for the price. easy access to i10 and kind of in the geographic center of BR. room was more spacious than expected.

DoubleTree by Hilton

chimes east

what should they see (besides campus)

maybe not so much for the student, but mom and dad should take a driving trip to st francisville or ponchatula and do some antique shopping and get lunch at some small diner. maybe mittendorfs if ponchatula. they had some cool antique shops in the downtown.

I honestly prefer Christina’s to Louie’s for breakfast

It moved down the street to where the Wendy's used to be. But still great diner food and going strong.

Parking is fine, especially for lunch. The time you spend driving all the way out to Chimes East, through arguably worse traffic, by the time you're seated there, you would be getting your entrees at LSU.

It's the better Chimes anyway. If the parents ever come up for weekends to visit, they will be going there.

I always enjoyed the atmosphere of DiGiulio's. It was always a good place to take visitors.
