Olympia Park on Perkins and Kenilworth would be fine. If they would set up in the parking lot in front of the stadium on Kenilwoth, there's plenty events on the ball fields, like ball practice and kick ball games in the Summer with plenty parking and traffic to attract additional business. There may be BREC regulations though, that would deny their access.

A place like that wouldn’t even be a thought in a city like Dallas, San Antonio, Houston, etc. It sucks that that’s probably the best option we have. There and maybe Baton Rouge Beach

Some of this is about keeping park spaces non-commercial.

I see this point entirely and would imagine that the restaurants in the area wouldn't accept or appreciate food trucks within a quarter mile of their stores, parking, rent-free, making food and absorbing the business of their potential customers.

Exactly--see my previous post upthread about the LA restaurant association's pretty powerful lobbying abilities.

Population density is a factor: to make running a truck viable, you need a steady stream of customers. I know a fair number of operators around SE LA, and the highest-grossing ones are either parking outside high-volume bars on a regularly scheduled & publicized route, parking outside high-density office buildings/hospitals/colleges, or doing party catering. I know one guy who gave up his bar route when he finally got permission to be on-site at a fairly remote chemical plant. He works weekday lunch shift at the plant and doesn't need to hustle weekend gigs anymore.
