some god damned white truffles from Italy he was blabbing about. I was a bottle of wine in, so of course i said why the hell not. they gave me quite few, but they may as well have been shaving $20 bills out of my wallet.

Holy shite, you guys will not believe this. In the Williams-Sonoma catalog my wife gets, they were selling little 4 oz. containers of Russian caviar for some exorbitant price. I did the math, and it averages out to well over $4,000 per pound.
