Went last Friday for lunch. Service was a little iffy. Brought the wrong entree to us three times. Soup was cold. Sat in one of the recliners with a tv tray. I will try again in a few weeks. Reservations are a must.

I hate to sound like some a-hole, but I never go to a place that hasn't been open for at least a couple of months. You really can't judge a place until it's been open for awhile and had a chance to work out the kinks.

We went for lunch yesterday & it was good. Service was fantastic.
To start off we had the Gris Gris Duck Wings (covered in a pepper jelly glaze), the Abita & Cheese Bisque, and the Cochon De Lait "Poutine" (french fries covered in gravy, pulled pork & goat cheese)
For our entrees we had the filet, the mac and cheese with brisket and roasted vegetables (the noodles were long like spaghetti noodles), and the fish & chips (not traditional English style, these were crusted with Zapp's Cajun Crawtators).
We ended the meal with banana pudding. I love that 85% of the stuff that goes into the food is made in-house and is pulled from local vendors.

Tom Fitzmorris, is that you?
Just kidding, but I agree about waiting a few months for a restaurant to settle and crowds to die down. I think I am going to try it out next time I am staying in the city.

He does qualify as an a-hole and he does maintain that point of view. It's one of the rare occasions I agree with him, but that's always been my feeling. Restaurants, for the most part, have problems in the beginning.
