PT's (old Pippens Eat a bite) would be up there with Magic Grill, but it's so small you can't get a damn seat in there at lunch time.

PT's my personal fave, but I only do breakfast there. I was a big fan of Arnold's out on crossett HWY, before he retired.

Apparently, the Sam's that's in what used to be the old KFC is pretty popular with the locals these days. Never eaten there myself.

when did pippens change to PT's? Last time i ate there was like 8 years ago. That was a damn fine breakfast.

As far as magic grill, it's pretty darn good and it's not far from my house. They started making fried chicken that's good too. Can't go wrong with a fried fish poboy either. Only downside is that the fries get soggy quickly when you get it to go.

About to go get a philly cheesesteak from Magic Grill now. They opened one in West Monroe between JMart and House of Daiquiris, about 2 miles from my house.

The owner got his start and inspiration from the long time owner of Ray's PeGe in Monroe.

Hell I thought it was Mr Ray's daughter that opened it up and he still came in once or twice a week to help. Either way, that place is almost as good as the original.
