I went late lunch in Shreveport at Cheng's Garden and I highly recommend it for Shreveport-Bossier posters who like Asian food but are not into the Buffets (because we don't go back for seconds).
It's near the corner of E. King's and Youree. Used to be a buffet but switched about 3 years ago to ordering off the menu only.
We were a table of 4 and everyone loved their meal. Especially since we like heat. And when we order spicy we want it even though we are old and some servers assume we want mild.
Prices were about half of what I expected. Six dollars a person. Left a 25% tip to make up the difference of expectation. Will go again soon.
My previous favorite non-buffet was Ming Garden just across the Shreveport-Barksdale Bridge. But this food was much better.

Just finished eating some grilled jalapenos stuffed with duck breast and cream cheese, wrapped in bacon, with a steens syrup glaze.
For dinner I'm having whatever my neighbor cooks for the Saints game, he said something about chargrilled oysters.
