Last year, I had Coava roasted out of Portland. I have been enjoying their stuff ever since.

I like trying new things, but the stuff I like does not come back around very often.
I appreciate the help.

I’ve always enjoyed buying single origin beans and roasting them myself. A couple years ago I was feeling lazy and subscribed to both Crema and Misto Box. The convenience and variety offered by both sites has made it tough for me to get motivated to roast my own beans again. I’ve enjoyed every pound of beans I’ve received from both services...some more than others.

How do you roast them? Any special equipment?
I usually buy my coffee at Costco. For whole bean, you can't beat the price. But the Mobile Costco has a really shitty selection compared to others I've been to. So I'm interested in roasting my own green beans.

Catalina Coffee on Washington is associated with Amaya Roasting, all of the bags I’ve had have been great and fresh if you’re looking for something local.

Lots of different ways to roast them. Easiest "homemade" roaster is an old hot air popcorn popper. That's what I started with. I now roast using a Hottop roaster that makes timing much more precise, although I can only roast 250g of beans in each batch.
