Hymels in Convent gets my vote. I go there once a month or so.

last trip they had strange hours...they were only open thurs, fri, sat....i forget about sunday....great crabs, crawfish, shrimp boat special....and I love those fishbowls of beer

One of my favorite things. I have a hunting camp real close. After the evening hunt we go grab a bite and kill some beers.

Great Traditional Country/Zydeco band that plays on Thursday nights too.

Haven't been to Middendorfs since 2004 when I was still living in Mandeville, but I used to go in there and do an Adam Richman (Man vs Food) on that thin battered catfish. How can anybody NOT like that stuff? Well maybe only F&DB food snobs.
