Dinner at Lengua Madre coming up in a few weeks.
What's the boards take on going for the wine pairing vs ordering cocktails as I go? Anything on the bar menu that's a must try, or just trust the people to do their thing with the tasting menu and wine

Maybe traditional Mexican pairs better with wine than I think it does, but I would probably be going cocktails over wine there.

It’s not “traditional” Mexican, it’s a tasting menu. Some wine goes great with Mexican, depending on the dish. New Zealand Sauv Blanc, Spanish Garnacha, Rioja, Albariño etc.
I do prefer cocktails but some wines go great.
I have not been to LM yet but it’s on the list.
