I'm torn on this one.

On one hand, it was a nice place to watch Saints games on the big screen on Sundays and have a Margarita.

On the other, the food was ridiculously overpriced for what it was.

I miss Lucy's.

They just opened one here in the colony. They catered an event at our office but I’ve never been. Is it good? They only brought a nacho bar and shrimp cocktail.

It's decent food, but not worth the price.

The Jalapeño Margarita was the tits though.

I wonder how their Perkins Rowe location is doing? Sort of a big blow to Third Street being that Roux House just next door is no longer open as a bar and is merely a place to hold a reception or private party.

I didn't even know Roux House had closed.

Never did like their layout inside.

Yeah, but at least they had a nice patio area and an upstairs. Also, they were one of the first bars to open after Katrina on Third Street.

Downtown BR will never have success it seems as far as a bar/party area

I would have disagreed with you 6-7 years ago, but now I feel the same way. It’s definitely not trending upwards.

For awhile you had Roux, Lucy's, B&T, Happy's it seemed like you could walk to each. We did a Saturday night downtown about a month ago and it was bad, like really bad. Every bar was empty it felt.

Didn't they just open this like 5 minutes ago?

It’s awful now. Tastes like everything came from a microwave. A far cry from when it first opened.

Oh, I believe it. It’s beginning to look desolate again like it did pre-Katrina. As much as people made fun of The Office and Punchers, at least they brought in a crowd. Is the former Wine Loft (Blend) still open?

Lucy's fricked up when they downsized their menu and left off all the good shite.

after the resurgence it seems to be dying a slow death, I think the popularity of the perkins bars hurt it. The post college crowd sees no need to go downtown, plus downtown living never really took off.

Downtown is just way too boring....i like when the head of the downtown development district talks about how great and important it is for people to live downtown...WHEN HE DOESN'T LIVE DOWNTOWN

Unless they get more big business downtown and get rid of the ghetto, yes

It’s hard to say. That gigantic complex on Florida is opening somewhat. That’ll be a fairly decent influx of people. The Marriott under construction should help too as far as patrons.

I do think that ridiculous open container enforcement hurt.

There was about an 8 month stretch about a year ago where there was a very large African-American crowd downtown every night. They would pack two or three bars so badly that the crowd would spill out into the street.

I honestly think this scared a lot of people away from 3rd Street.

Now on the weekends you barely see any one out. White or black.
