I know, FB TLDR, but better here than the OT.

The wife and I, anniversary weekend, had 5:45 reservations at Irene's, where we ate dinner may years ago pre-seeding my proposal that same night. But, wifey decided 5:45 was too early. Landed on Pelican Club at 8:15.

That weekend is also our daughters 40th birthday and she is bring 2 of her BFF's. (no pics).. We moved here when she was 9 YO. But make no mistake she is NOLA/Tigers thru and thru. . Mainly due to our frequent visits back home for Mardi Gras, family etc. She arrives Saturday and has Parkway lunch and Ccoop's dinner, to show her BFF's her favorite chow. LSU game Sunday night. All of us staying in FQ.

Here's the questions,
...Pelican Club Friday rather than Irene's?
..Atchafalaya Sunday brunch with the girls?...instead of stuffy Annaud's, Brennans, Brousards, etc?

I always enjoy Arnaud's jazz brunch and I don't find it stuffy. I find it festive and celebratory. The only thing I wish they would do is offer the oyster apps for brunch.
