We are headed to Knoxville next weekend to scope out the city ahead of a probable relocation.
Neither of us have ever been, so looking for any suggestions y'all may have of where to eat and drink.
Breweries are always a hit with us, and I know there are a lot there, so any favorites any of you may have, lay them on me!
We'll be doing a bit of house hunting, but will have some free time as well. We're staying in the Fountain City area but will have a rental car and will be in various parts of the city so any and all suggestions are welcome

Yes, Knoxville has a lot of good breweries. Quite a few are in the Happy Hollar area near downtown and you can hop around them on foot. Some of my favorites are XUL which is the best imo for all the great different beers they brew. Abridged which has two locations in west knoxville has great beer and the best burger around. The new Yee Haw just opened up and is a great spot. Last days of Autumn and Crafty Bastrd are good also. Downtown Grill and Brewery is a staple downtown. They have a huge menu but their beer is mediocre.

You don't happen to go by Al Boogie on TV do you? Either way, Knoxville is great.

Xül is the best, you can do well just around there with Crafty Bastard, Next Level, Yee-Haw, and Schulz Brau. Pretentious is really good as well, or Albright Grove, Abridged, Orange Hat out west.
Alliance and Printshop in South Knox are both good.
Abridged also has fantastic food. Yee-Haw has awesome hot chicken.

Good luck, it's a tough market right now.

I can give you plenty of other restaurant/bar recommendations too depending on what you're looking for.
