I'm headed to the Smoky Mts Mardi Week and I did a search to see if I could find any places in Eastern TN that make this. I figured there had to be SOMEBODY who tried to capitalize on it's popularity, but I couldn't find nary a one. I guess KFC will have to suffice.

I've never been to Nashville or Tennessee so I don't know how legit it is but it is freaking delicious. Best item I've had from a fast food place in long time.

Nashville hot chicken isn't chicken in hot sauce though. It's chicken covered in a paste of lard and cayenne pepper.

It's fried chicken in hot sauce. I've had it all over the country and in Nashville. The Nashville places were good, but I've had better
I don't know what the frick you've been eating, but Nashville hot chicken isn't in hot sauce at all.
In fact, the one place I've seen it outside of Middle Tennessee was the Yard House in Addison, TX. That was a bastardized version that didn't even come close to resembling Nashville hot chicken.
