Anyone here own or have any experience with the Kamado Joe Kettle Joe? What are your thoughts?

Yes. I had one. Fantastic concept, poor execution. Leaks air like crazy.

I know it will need a gasket. Not a problem on that. That's an easy fix.

I installed gaskets all around and it still leaked. FWIW.

I don't have one, but it strikes me that the tried and true Weber kettle design isn't something that really needs reinventing.

Like I said. The concept is great. All the benefits of a Kamado Joe, but made of lightweight metal. The firebox is even ceramic lined. The problem is the lid never sits flush, and the top vent leaks bad. I thought it was just mine, but some online research proved otherwise.
