Just got a regular sushi roll from the grocery store that had 2600 mg of sodium.

How is this possible? That is more than 2 Double Quarter Pounders from McDonalds.
It also had 35 grams of fat, and 80 grams of carbs.
This has to be one of the worst foods you can eat.

You bought sushi from the grocery store and you’re worried about the nutritional facts? I’d be more worried about the tapeworms or salmonella

Don't they just have a blanket nutritional value wrapper for those?

This was 4 pieces Spicy Cali, 4 pieces tempura, 4 pieces, San Antonio. It says 12 pieces on the nutritional label.

Yeah, but the label probably says it contains peanuts, shrimp, eel, crab and everything else a sushi roll could possibly contain.

It says its made in a facility that also makes the stuff you mentioned.

They are usually pretty generic labels. That way the sushi chef can cram whatever they want in and be covered. Not saying it doesn't have that much sodium, but sushi isn't exactly the healthiest food out there.

Did it have a soy sauce packet (or two) included in the little box? One tablespoon of regular soy sauce has 920 mg of sodium, so the nutrition label for the box may include all the extras in the packets which you may not even use.

Yes, i thought of this and looked up the sodium content of the one, 1/4 oz soy sauce packet, included. It was 400mg. Not as much as i was hoping since i rarely use much of it.

Like a lot of things, sushi can be very healthy if you order it that way. The stuff covered in mayo and fried isn’t going to be good for you no matter what.
