Good places for dinner that I can bring wife and 7 year old daughter. Good taps a plus. Any recommendations?

Depends what you are in the mood food wise and what part of Jax. I usually don't like recommending food places for the simple fact that what one person likes another does not.

That being said, in old Mayport on the waterfront is Safe Harbor seafood. Usually voted best in Jax. Nice place, can sit on the dock if you like. A little pricey I guess and packed most of the time.

Another usually voted best in Jax, if you looking for Mexican is TacoLu on Beach Blvd close to the beaches.

Our resident taste of New Orleans I guess and local LSU/Saints eating establishment is Gumbo YaYa's on Beach Blvd and San Pablo. People are from there and do a decent job, small but they are one of the few that has Abita on draft.

Thanks. Mexican sounds solid. Any Cuban/Bahamian places you would recommend?

Unfortunately I don't. Sorry! I can tell you if you have a 7 year old, depending on when you are going and what you are wanting to do, if you hit TacoLu there is Adventure Landing almost right next to it. Small water park, indoor food court/ arcade type area, mini putt putt, go cart track. just thought I'd throw it out there, also will be about 3/4 mile from beach.
