Looks good. I think I am looking more for craft beer than wine and cocktails this time around.

Grabs beers at Intuition Ale Works and Kickbacks Gastropub. Eat at the Blind Rabbit. They are all near each other.

Those all look right up our alley.

The beer menu at Kickbacks is a bit limited though.

Going to hit Kickbacks for beer and Blind Rabbit for dinner.

Concert after.

Looking to go out after the concert, and trying to decide where to stay, so more questions:

1. Is The Landing a good place say from 10-1am?
2. Safe to walk around down there from there to the Omni?
3. Is River City Brewing a good place to go later at night?
4. Southbank safe to walk around late?
5. Jacksonville a good Uber town?

Thanks in advance.

I haven't spent any time in Jax for the last 3 years, but The Landing is a mix of fast food and nicer places. There are usually some night clubs, but those have turned over a number of times over the years. I don't even know what's still there.

Having said that, if you are looking for a place to hang out after the concert, the Landing is a pretty good choice. They usually have bands playing outside at The Landing at night on the weekends, so it is a good place to stroll around and see what's there.

Both the Omni and the Hyatt Regency are within a block or two of the Landing and walking shouldn't be a problem.

You can take a water taxi (I think it's 4 or 5 bucks to ride it) from The Landing over to River City Brewing Company. I don't think RCBC will wow you with their food and beer, but the view looking back over to Jacksonville is spectacular, and the water taxi ride is cool. The view from the Landing over to the Friendship Fountain is also nice, and the bridges are lit up, so that adds to the night-time view.

The Omni and the Doubletree (right by RCBC) are the 2 places I am thinking about.

The hot spot at the Landing appears to be Finn McCools. Sounds like mediocre food, but by that time at night we will just be having a drink or two anyway.

went for a vacation a couple of summers ago....

Aardwolf and Engine 15 are great spots to grab a drink (Engine 15 has their beer + other local options)

we ate at Orsay, Moon River Pizza, and the Chart House all were good

Ended up having to drive back to Savannah after the concert so our outing was limited.

Ate at Blind Rabbit.

Scallops and grit cake appetizer was not fantastic but very good.

Oyster and pork belly sandwich on Texas toast was also good, but not as amazing as I had envisioned.

Highlight was the beer

Had
Bold City Super Secret Stout. Wonderful stout. Heavy on coffee notes. 7.5% seasonal.

Intuition Ale-a 4.7% session IPA. Very mellow, with caramel hints. Nice for the winter (such as it is in Jacksonville- )

We also sampled Bold City's Killer Whale Cream Ale-didn't like really, but it was after the stout so the pallet may have been tainted at that point.

Finally, we ventured over to Kickbacks and wished we'd had time to stay. What an awesome looking bar. Over 1000 beers and over 200 on tap. I can't wait to go back and make use of uber.

Thanks to all for the suggestions.

And sorry about no pics. Just not in the habit.
