With all of the buyouts going on, I'd like to find out some way to determine who owns the various breweries.

I learned that Terrapin actually had sold an interest to Miller-Coors prior to the sale of the whole thing.

I've heard Bud owns a portion of either Red Brick or Red Hare.

Resource for this?

Yeah, they had sold 25% or so to MillerCoors several years prior to selling the rest.

As far as I know, just news articles and wikipedia. Maybe the brewers association though?

Damnit really? That's a shame. No more Lagunitas for me.

There are so many good beers out there that I don't need to buy any on the list, even if they are still good.

I won't feel like I am depriving myself by sticking to the non-conglomerate owned beer.

There are also plenty of great beers from breweries on that list, like Founders, Lagunitas, Terrapin, Goose Island, Elysian.

I'm not going to skip those completely just because they are owned (in whole or part) by a bigger company. At least not as long as the product is worth the price.

I agree

I will at least for the most part.

The original owners got their money. Good for them. Given a choice, and there are so many, I don't need to enrich AB, Constellation or MC.
