Will be cooking a turkey for the game Saturday. I usually just use a creole butter marinade, but was seeing what others use.

Any better suggestions? Homemade recipes?

The Cajun Injector Creole Butter is the best IMHO. It's no longer labeled as "Chef Williams'" anymore, because thwy sold it to Bruce Foods (the yam people)

Its still the best injectable marinade though, followed by Tony Cachere's. I don't like the La. Fish Fry one at all.

I've aquired a bunch of food hypodermic needles over the years, so I've been making my own injectable marinades lately. Put a bunch of butter, whatever seasonings, salt etc in a mason jar and nuke it to melt the butter. Stir in whatever liquid you want: water, woster, soy beer, sprite, ect and commenced to shooting up. Works great and saves monies.

I also find the injectors helpful for adding oil to the supercharger in my van. A foot of fish tank tubing in place of the needle makes it reach tight places. Must always remember to inject the bird first and the car last.

Are you frying a turkey? Try this: in a sautée pan, melt a stick of butter with a 2 oz bottle of onion juice, 2 oz bottle of garlic juice, small bottle (2 or 4 oz, can't remember) of liquid crab/shrimp boil, a few shakes of worchestershire sauce, and some good creole seasoning like tony's or slap ya mamma. Bring to a low boil for a few minutes. Let it cool and inject away. Never fails.
