Made some infused vodka in a jar with pepper and onions for the holidays for bloody Mary's. We did not drink it all and I was wondering how long it will last?

I would think the Vodka to be a high enough proof that it would kill most of any bacteria that might grow from the food.

But I'm not positive about that.

After a couple of weeks, I'd move on.

Leave it in the freezer too.

Could you tell in the Bloody that you had infused the vodka?

I infuse mine a 1/2 gal at a time and still use it a month or two later.

it makes a huge difference in taste of a bloody mary.

I use onions, garlic, jalapeno, olives, spicy beans, celery and Chrystal hot sauce.
